The Senegalese capital, Dakar, is hosting a series
of meetings of the Banque Sahélo-Saharienne pour l'Investissement et le
Commerce, from November 5 to 13, 2020. These include, in particular, the
meeting of the Board of Directors, the Ordinary General Meeting, but also
meetings of the various committees established by the Board, namely : The
Governance Committee, the Audit Committee, the Nomination and Remuneration
Committee, and the Risk and Compliance Committee.
In addition, the Dakar meeting will be used to organize a training workshop for directors to enable them to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in the governance systems of banking institutions.
The General Assembly, which is the Bank's supreme
governing body, will also be held to approve the bank's budgets for fiscal
years 2017-2018-2019 and will also proceed with the selection of external
auditors and the international auditor for the bank's audit for 2020-2021.
